Go out on the popular morning dives and in the afternoon you’re free to enjoy one of the many fun things to do on Roatan
Roatan Certified Scuba Diving Excursion Itinerary:
Your Roatan Certified Scuba Diving Excursion begins with round trip transportation from the meeting point a short walk from your cruise pier, or your resort or hotel lobby. Our dispatcher will invite you aboard one of our comfortable air conditioned transport units.
Our bilingual driver will take you on a scenic drive, sharing interesting bits of our history and culture while making way to the scuba dive center.
The dive center receptionist will verify your scuba diver certification (don’t forget to bring it along with you!) and active diver status, ask you to fill the Release and Dive Medical Statement and appoint you to a dive guide and dive boat according to your scuba certification and dive experience level.
The captain and dive guide will welcome you aboard, help you setup the dive gear and provide a dive briefing before heading to the day’s dive spots, selected to fit the group experience, sea and current conditions.
The dive locations are fairly close so travel time is brief. The first dive site is approximately 60 feet (18.5 meters) deep and the second dive is at a maximum depth of approximately 45 feet (13.5 meters). Surface intervals will either be taken on the boat or land depending on the specific dive sites that day.
Roatan’s marine life is bountiful and tropical fish enthusiasts will have plenty to enjoy during their dive. The reef in the Bay Islands is healthy and in almost pristine condition – you will see many hard and soft coral species. Besides, turtles, morays, seahorses and nurse sharks are pretty often sightings among them, so keep your eyes open!
You will be diving with a 5 star PADI dive company that since 2014 consistently receives year by year the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for providing outstanding service to their diving guests.
The equipment used is top of the line and is continuously maintained by certified technicians. BCDs and regulators are replaced on a regular basis. The quality of the dive gear helps assure everyone has a safe and fun day.
The one tank dive excursion takes approximately 2 hours and the two tank dive takes approximately 3 hours. Choose this dive excursion as only activity or add some of the other fun things to do in Roatan available.
This Roatan Certified Scuba Diving Excursion ends with your timely return to the port.
